Surface preparation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from frost, grease and loose materials. When cleaning contaminated substrates, We recommend that propan-2-ol (IPA) is used and allowed to dry prior to the application of the sealant strip. When applying the tape to porous or friable surfaces, it is recommended that the surface be treated with a suitable primer, such as an exterior grade PVA, to seal and stabilise the surface. Application: Remove the filmic release liner and apply the adhesive surface onto the substrate to be sealed. Once applied in place, use a roller to ensure good adhesion to the substrate. Avoid joins in the flashing where possible. Any joints should overlap by at least 120mm, and be made with the uppermost piece overlapping on top of the lower strip, so that any water running down will drain freely over the front surface of the flashing.
